HIV/AIDS discrimination and land: An every day threat for people living with HIV/AIDS
Discrimination based on one’s actual or perceived HIV status may seem far fetched to some people because of the knowledge and information that they have acquired about the virus over the years. However, to some people living in Zambia, lack of relevant knowledge about HIV and AIDS has escalated the burden of people living with HIV and AIDS to unimaginable extents. Press Statement: 2008 ANNUAL SMALL SCALE FARMERS FORUM RECOMMENDATIONS
On September 24 & 25, the Farmers Organization Support Programme (FOSUP) and Zambia Land Alliance (ZLA), with support from Concern WorldWide and MS Zambia, hosted the 2008 Annual Small Scale Farmers Forum at Barn Motel in Lusaka. This year’s theme was “Land Access and Control: Key to Household and National Food Security.” Over 70 people attended the Forum which was officiated by the Ministry of Lands Deputy Minister and Commissioner of Lands.
